I have read Divergent and half if Insurgent. Also, post below, who is your favorite character? Mine is Tobias.
Pentatonix is my favorite. I also like Tori Kelly, Ariana Grande, The Weekend, Melanie Martinez, Twenty One Pilots, Panic at The Disco, Jessie J, and so many more.

It had mediocre characters with the exception of Tris, the world building had plot holes everywhere, and there wasn't much depth to it, If you're not aware, the dystopia genre was originally very deep just look at Fahrenheit 451. It wasn't terrible, but I didn't like it

Even though I'm in 4th grade, my reading level is 6th grade to 12th.
Anyways, I'm still reading it, And I think I belong in Dauntless. My favorite character is Four/Tobias.

I quit at the end. I've always been a sensitive and that last Erudite vs. Abnegation made me feel upset.

I... started it... But, of course, I had just read Fahrenheit 451 (:O Iaashadow! XD) and it just seemed... A little cliche... a little boring... Not so very deep... I think I would probably have enjoyed, had I read it a few years ago, but... well, yeah. :P And I spoke to someone who loved the series, and she admitted that the quality of the books decreased throughout...

I finished the series, and I agree it wasn't the best. That ending... -_-

Just a random other point, Insurgent has the most vague inside text I have ever read

Fighting for survival in a shattered world… the truth is her only hope.

The thrillingly dark sequel to No. 1 New York Times bestseller, DIVERGENT.

I have done bad things. I can’t take them back, and they are part of who I am.

Tris has survived a brutal attack on her former home and family. But she has paid a terrible price. Wracked by grief and guilt, she becomes ever more reckless as she struggles to accept her new future.

Yet if Tris wants to uncover the truth about her world, she must be stronger than ever… because more shocking choices and sacrifices lie ahead

Read this over a couple times, see if it tells you anything about the book at tall, I can take thirty minutes to find at least three more books each that use some of these phrasesm such as "But she has paid a terrible price. Wracked by grief and guilt, she becomes ever more reckless as she struggles to accept her new future." or "Yet if Tris wants to uncover the truth about her world, she must be stronger than ever… because more shocking choices and sacrifices lie ahead" This paragraph literally only say.s that it is a sequel.

just sayin'

Honestly my big problem with the Divergent series is the whole concept of being Divergent.  I mean, I think that I would like a book where conformity is the only rule, and anyone who is unique is eliminated.  But this series didn't capture that at all: instead, it focused on the Divergent people having weird simulation-resistant abilities that never seemed to be adequately explained.  It feels like instead of trying to capture the idea of someone being unique in a conformist society, it just copped out by giving these Divergent people other abilities that might cause problems.
