The man spat on the ground.  "You can't arrest me until you catch me doing something wrong."

Governor Kingsley

"Thank you, Willhoff.  As for the girl..."  He lowered his voice.  "All our reports say that she's not going to last a week.  Didn't want to say it on air.  I figure once you've got a fate like that, conserving energy doesn't matter anymore.  Have one last big night, open it to the pubic."

He frowned.  "Speaking of which, we're going to have to set up extra security at the concert.  If there's free or even reduced admission, it might pose a certain risk."  He began to send out a message to the chief of police.

Garrett

Just as Garrett was about to turn the corner on his street, his pager beeped.  He frowned and tapped a couple buttons on it.

"I've heard reports that you wanted an assignment.  Well, here's one.  You're to be Miss Terminale's personal bodyguard for the night.  With some additional heavy hitters, of course.  But we hope your Mod will let you detect danger before anyone else."

Garrett grinned and leaped into the air a short distance.   Finally, an important job!

"Okay, I understand.  Thank you, sir.  I'll make contact with her right now."

"Uh, I'm not so sure that's a good-"

"I'm pretty sure I know which hospital she's at; you don't need to give me-"

"Mr. Dempsey!  She is resting at her house right now.  You are not to make contact with her until there is less than one hour before the start of the concert.  This is an order."

"Fiiiine.  Anything you want me to do before then?"

"No.  Mr. Dempsey, don't you have a job?  Don't forget you aren't yet an official Watcher."

Garrett sighed and began to make his way to the grocery he worked at.

"Understood, sir.  I'll be on standby."

Rico Wolfgang

His eyes widened. He put down his sword and put on a surprised face and a sarcastic voice: "Oh, no, Luke! We have to catch him doing something illegal! What ever shall we do? All we saw him doing was smuggling a precious limited supply of food stolen from the government!" He dropped the act and began to laugh, picking up his sword again. "Ah, you're cute. Let's haul him off, Luke."

Nepal Cordalik

Nepal sighed as the female rushed out of the doors, having responded to a text she received. Ah, the young ones, always quick to respond... He then finished his morning meal, and stood up slowly, getting himself ready to clean up the dishes, and head out for work.

Luke

Luke paused a momment.

"Hold on Rico, I left my arrow at the top."

Luke, dragging the prisoner, headed to the top of the building, and as reached the top, kick swiftly pushed the already unbalanced man off o fthe building, nimbly catching his shoe while the man dangled upside down from off of the building. He spoke in a low, menacing voice. Even though Luke prefered not to scare answers like this, it was necessary.

"Now, I suppose you have 20 seconds before this shoe accidently slips off your foot and you fall. Not a long drop, but I can guess you'll break most of your bones, maybe even receive a merciful death. But it will trusly cause you the most pain you've had for the rest of your life. 15 seconds. Want to answer?"

The shoe slowly began to slide off.

Ken Sy

Ken woke up from his cot. He had had a pain attack the night previously and had just recovered.

Ugh... my head... is hurtning... again.

Ken got up, stumbling, but he quickly changed into his uniform.

I need a mission...

Mr. Belmont

A distorted but still comprehensible message graced Dr. Henry's ready ear that morning. A simple instruction, requesting his prompt arrival. Mr. Belmont had already checked out the surgeon's schedule. There were, fortunately enough, no appointments for him today. It was always opleasabt when the details worked themselves out.

Henry was an important man, and a valuable asset. Perhaps it would be best to deliver this request in person.

No. That would come later. For now, a liasion would suffice.

Belmont chose to send the same simple, prerecorded messge to a Mr. Ken Sy. He would do nicely for this particular operation.

Ther really should be a third agent, though, to ensure the smoothness of the operation. Was it worth bothering Nepal? Perhaps... Well, there would be time to decide these things later. For now, there was much to be done.

Mr. Henry and Mr. Sy entered within minutes of each other, from opposite doors. The former had gotten notice earlier, while the latter had less ground to cover.

The speaker closest to wachman blared out another short message.

Proceed to waiting area 4. Await further instructions.

Dr Henry

He boarded a small subway car and made his way to the room he was told to go to. He sat down on a small bench and took out a small book, as per usual. There was a man sitting next to him, someone he hadn't really seen before.
