Ispera, a massive world of magic, beasts, danger, and infinite possibilities, is home to countless beings and cities. From the religious metropolis of Colt, to the corrupted port of Hemron, Ispera is as diverse as it is large.
In the desert kingdom of Yezin, a large mining city, there has been upward progress for the last century, and with more and more rich foreigners arriving, things are looking up…. for the nobles. Yezin was built on the backs of slaves, and while there have been no slaves for a few centuries, the class difference is obvious, and constant. Even a whole type of magic is reserved for the nobles and the better off. With more and more attention being drawn to the desert kingdom, more danger looms, how long can it’s eons old system hold out? And what will become of the untamed masses?
A few hundred miles away there lies another decent-sized kingdom, Guelboro. Many in Guelboro feel there neighbors have been around long enough, and if they can’t get an official war, they’ll find another way to take down the desert kingdom…..

RULES
Blue magic is for nobles only. All nobles have at least a part of blue. Therefore, normal citizens cannot use blue magic (This does not mean they cannot be blue.)

Be reasonable with magic. Ask me if you have any questions on what you can/can’t do with magic. Typically common sense works out, and I’ll correct what I need to.

Don’t be afraid to try stuff. Being entirely reactionary and waiting on others to advance the plot makes for a boring CST.

Shon Praga is a lower-class doctor that caters to the citizenry, especially in times of epidemics and infection. He lives alone ever since an accident with his magic killed his best friend, has essentially no friends, and rarely visits someone else's home unless making a house call to the ill. He deeply resents the noble class, considering them useless fools, and rarely shows any compassion to those he treats and generally refuses to treat someone until they are on the verge of death – or past it. However, his record as a doctor is exemplary – so much so that nobles began to request him, after hearing tales of Dr. Praga's excellence. The first noble he treated, despite Dr. Praga's constant care, succumbed to his infection – but not before it spread to the rest of his family. In the end, all of the contents of the house had to be burned to prevent it from spreading further.

Dr. Praga's magic allows him to control and mutate microorganisms – he can cause an infection to spontaneously fade, spread, or develop into something worse. He is less adept in necromancy of corpses than some of his GB peers, but can revive someone who has just died to nearly normal condition – although he will be able to exert a little mental influence on them after they revive.

Appearance:

Black robes, black cane, gives off the impression of being older than he is. Wears plague doctor mask when working, helps channel his magic.

Neffstein is a person who lives in the city of SandSteppe Yezin. He lives some kind of dubious apothecary/divination shop in some back alley in a corner of the city of sand. Although it's not particularly popular, there are always a few curious souls who wander into his domain that covers all of 12 tatami (as that's clearly a practical system of measurement in this world that doesn't have the concept of Japan). In reality, he just rooms there as he and the owner are kindred spirits, fellow weirdos in a sane world. He worships a goddess by the name of Levinia who supposedly governs the rules of the major and minor arcana. She is an embodiment of all five colors with lesser quantities of black in comparison to the other four (with blue, red, and green being a larger component than white). If you were to ask him what his life was like, he'd probably spout some incoherent words about how he was conceived four years ago under the direction of the pointed wand of the third degree and the upright chalice of the tenth order and the blessings of nimarukyu. A strange acolyte of the religion of Birdspiel.

He uses all four suits of the minor arcana and a few of the cards from the major arcana.

Appearance: Picture some fishy guy with the standard cloak covering up a large portion of his face/body/whatever. (I may draw this in a random period of forty-five minutes.)

Bio: ~~Everything to do with fire...~~ Kelcie had an unusual childhood. Her first memories are from an orphanage that was very violent in its methods of teaching. This contributed to her being a deadly martial artist, even without magic. Kelcie was adopted by a noble family, the Cirlay family (pronounced like K-eye-r-lee), when she was five. She almost always appears rude, reckless and always eager for fights. Kelcie learned everything through reading before she joined the academy. The only thing she was taught in was martial arts because she showed interest and promise in it and with it. While most started to learn about magic around when they were nine, Kelcie was long past basics. Some may consider her a prodigy, but don't say it to her face. She is VERY unpredictable and she never has the same reaction to a situation (mostly because she is never in the same situation twice and usually improvises on the spot).

Kelcie has made it into the higher groups of the academy despite her demon-like nature which most see as strength. At first many people scorned her and were irritated at her joining when she was 7 (managed to get in despite 10 age minimum). Now many people have forgotten that after she beat up a few bullies. Now people being cruel to others instantly assume that she is coming for them at the request of someone else if she goes near them. Newbies and a few jealous people still see her as small and weak, but she is happy where she is and just wants to improve in everything she does.

Bio: Yori was simply a noble's son until his famous incident at the Academy. Yori was voted as president of his junior class and gathered a large enough following to claim power over the academy, using the power of the mob to terrorize his political opponents. Eventually this led to the execution of a student that had bullied one of Yori's friends in sophomore year. Yori was expelled from the academy but not before other nobles noticed his considerable persuasive ability and incredible confidence and power. Lord Keralin took him in, noting despite his extreme view of justice and his incredible arrogance, he was incredibly smart and could be used as an asset.
20 years later Yori, now Lord Senlevon, is a force to be reckoned with. Many nobles question him but his hordes of supporters in the nobility keep his enemies at bay. He is in charge of the academy and concerns himself with little else. He has no time for peasants and their imperfect ways.

Lady Vincolo, born the second daughter of a noble family, was betrothed to a young noble heir before she was even a teenager. She soon proved to defy her parent's expectations, manipulating her unfortunate husband until she was effectively in control of his family's businesses, then leaving him, prompting him to commit suicide. Despite his family's objections, the betrothal contract left her in control of much of his wealth. Her beauty and charm attracted many more suitors, but things always seemed to end badly for anyone who drew her attention. Despite this, her power and influence continued to rise.

Lady Vincolo is amoral and an expert at social manipulation. She lays ruins to families or friendships just for enjoyment, even when it doesn't result in a direct benefit for her. She specializes in mind-effecting magic that can temporarily give someone Red traits, such as brashness and acting on impulse. She is also adept in fire spells.

Erat was abandoned at the age of 13, left alone in his huge sandstone cave, which had dozens of rocky caverns and hidden tunnels, the main entrance being an underground tunnel close to random abandoned home where no one could accidentally stumble upon it. Using green and red mana, Erat sometimes creates concentrated stone changes to increase the cavern, spreading it out as older parts collapse. He is quick to react, in many different emotions, mainly anger and watches over himself first, his survival is is number 1 thing. He left his cave for provisions, education but hated nobles, and by the age of 20, was a master of fighting and decent with using magic, using whatever nature he could to give him an advantage. Over the years Erat excelled, living by himself but staying alive.

Bio: Born of a family of nobles, Kreiwralk was destined to become a great prince. With his sharp wit and calm demeanor, he showed promise as a future great leader. However, through his studies, he discovered the follies of human civilization and the horrors of worldly genocide. Alongside this, he became interested in the uses of powerful magic. On the day of his coronation, he mysteriously disappeared. After months of searching with no results, he was declared dead, and his scheduled coronation was pushed back, turning into a memorial.

He fled into the wasteland lying between the two kingdoms, perfecting what he has learned about conjuration in solitude. After years of practice, he became an unusually powerful summoner. With enough mana, he can conjure great beasts and powerful monsters. He may also bring a previously living organism back to life as something a bit more horrifying, but this is usually temporary. Kreiwralk has a goal: to bring both kingdoms, and eventually the world under his control; and by god will he do nearly anything to get it.

Appearance: Leave it to the imagination, since I can't draw or find an appropriate picture. I'll think of this later.

Additional information: His voice is strangely distorted, and his clothing hides any hint to his gender. However, due to being abnormally tall (6'11) and due to the voice being slightly deeper than average, it is assumed that Kreiwralk is male.

During Basir's childhood, his father was rarely around, caring more about his asylum then anything else. He was the classical workaholic. Because of this, Basir spent most of his time with his mother. You could say 99% of the attention Basir got was his education, and 1% was actual fun. That's what happens when you're born into a serious family of intellectuals.

Basir was fascinated in magic and dedicated to learning every bit of it. Even when he wasn't being trained, he spent his free time increasing his mana and learning everything he could do, and ways to manipulate his powers to become even more powerful. He was willing to practice on anybody and put them into a state of complete submission. Due to this, and his habit of finding the weak link and dominating them, ensured that Basir was never that popular. Besides his magical interest, he was also attached to any study relating to how the mind works.

One day, Basir's father Rasheed, mysteriously went berserk. He began tormenting individuals with his mana. Rasheed soon enough became a big enough of a threat that Basir had no other choice but to make his father forget how to use magic and relocate him to his asylum, Merry Madhouse. The asylum was passed onto Basir as an insane person could not run it.

Basir opened up psychology offices around Merry Madhouse. He was a very successful businessman. One day, his old friend Crane ran into him, seeking to join his business. He gave Basir the idea of a school for the disturbed, and many others that led to Crane and Basir becoming business partners in the new successful business. By the way, the school for the disturbed officially opened its doors.

After Crane and Basir became partners, Crane began focusing more on managing the business, while Basir focused on what the business actually did: psychology. His methods proved to be very successful, curing his patients of mental illness quickly. His talent was recognized when the other nobles suggested he used his almighty mental powers to prevent criminal activity. Nobody knows if he took their suggestion to this day.

Bio: Nigel Colligan is an eleven year old boy who inhabits the slums and impoverished areas of Yezin all over. He knows them all, like the back of his hand, and considers them his home and territory. The boy wanders around, taking cleaning jobs with his trusty old broom like mopping, clearing an area, cleaning chimneys, things like that. He's got no family, no relatives, only a broom and his wits. He's technically white-black for his self-survival attitude and his familiarity with the bowels of the city, but he himself doesn't understand the first thing about magic, and instead relies on his cunning and luck. He'll do anything for a little extra cash- rob a foreigner, take a risky job, steal a bag or two- except for one thing. Nigel will never, EVER beg for money.

Any other information: One of Nigel's few talents is that he's decent at traversing rooftops, even slanted ones. Generally he's almost always covered in soot or dust.

Rose is very bubbly and emotional, she doesn't really keep thoughts to herself, and has a hard time controlling her temper. Overall though she is very excited about school adn learning magic, and mostly anything.

Bio: Veran is a lower-class resident who hangs around an abandoned mine. She isn't native to Yezin. Due to past events in her life, she isn't completely sane anymore. Part of her is fused/replaced with tree roots/branches/whatever. She despises being looked down upon and wishes for the lower-class to be one equal grounds with the higher-class. She is also rather impulsive and takes things to the extreme at times (which usually results in blood).

Many fall for her looks ((which definitely WON'T show in my horrible drawing when I make one)), or her "sweetness" which is actually entirely fake. People that irritate her have a tendency to suddenly go missing.

NOTE: Katie skipped a few grades and finished school and college early. She managed to get an assistant's job at the academy (Assistant to one of the magic teachers). If she kills any charries, it will either be a way to disperse of unwanted charries, after permission, or a random person that dies.
