My new game I've been working on. I usually wouldn't do this and ask people to play it, However: since I've been gone so long, not many people remember im on. but I am back so here is a little advertisement for my new story series.

Not really. If "legand" was encrypted that way it would be one Caesar Cipher. Vigenère Cipher is multiple Caesar Ciphers used to encrypt something.

It actually could be Vigenere O.o.

It actually would be more probable to be vigenere. Caesar is only one letter encryption (simple encryption), so you'd need a word (which doesn't exist) to make it legend. (I get your point, which is not this, but however... :P )

Caesar Cipher, depending on the keyword, moves letters over in the alphabet. If the keyword is one, the alphabet follows the encryption A=B. If it's two, it follows the encryption A=C. And so on.

EDIT: Legend, with the keyword of one, is Mfhfoe in Caesar Cipher.

The keyword can actually be numbers and letters, being a=0, b=1, and so on...

Same as in vigenere.

That's not Caesar Cipher or a keyword in that case. That's a different code entirely called "Numbers for Letters".

I didn't mean letters to numbers, I meant actual vigenere.

When I added the numbers I meant the amount of 'places' you could say you move the letter.

For example:

a=0

So you move nothing when it's a's turn.

b=1

You move everything one 'place'

example: abcd keyword b is zabc
