Amber Carnelian

Amber rolled her eyes. Of course the new recruit would try avoiding the larvae collection. She considered telling her that a lot of the food they get at the domes have these insects processed into them, but she decided against that. It wasn't like she had any way to reliably convey that to her anyways. As Amber finished gathering the larvae she heard a shout from the direction Storm went off to. Seems like she found something. She went to get rope from the buggy. Before giving the rope to Storm she cleared some of the rotting trees and branches from the pile so she could get a better look at what Storm had found. The trees were covering a fairly large hole that dropped down to an underground cave.

Remains of an aquifer? Don't think the previous group checked this spot either.

She handed the rope to Storm.

Amber Carnelian

It's always a hot day, Amber thought. Not like there's much prey around anyways. She scanned her surroundings. She spotted an animal trap hidden behind some dead trees. It was empty. Seems as though another hunter group searched this area. She wondered if they really searched thoroughly enough. Amber pulled out a small dagger and chipped at the bark of one of the dead trees. After a few seconds a chunk of the bark crumbled away, revealing an interior full of larvae.

Amber sighed. This happened every time. Barely any of the other hunters bothered to collect the larvae, even though it was a perfectly liable source of food. She got a sack from her equipment and started gathering the larvae. She tossed a sack to the other two and pointed at the other dead trees, motioning for them to do the same.

Storm looked disgusted.

Death doesn't discriminate
Between the sinners and the saints
It takes and it takes and it takes
History obliterates
In every picture it paints
It paints me and all my mistakes
When the Destroyer aimed
At her heart
She may have been the first one to
die,
But I'm the one who paid for it

I survived, but I paid for it

Once everyone was situated, Amber drove the buggy at high speed towards their destination, leaving a cloud of dust and sand in its wake. This was her favorite part of the job. She felt free, despite the Earth looking so bleak and desolate.

Amber shrugged and went over to hop in one of the solar powered buggies stationed alongside the dome to the right. She drove the buggy to where the other two were standing and motioned for them to get in.

Amber nodded and smiled, twirling her staff. She looked around to see if someone else was going to show up. Still no one. Well, at least Amani was here. Amber appreciated her company. She was one of the only people who bothered to try to communicate with her. Most people thought she was slow or stupid since she couldn't articulate her thoughts. How frustrating.

Amber frowned when the Morning Address mentioned that the food packages sent to the poor would be smaller. Her mood wasn't made any better with the reminder of Lucia il Terminale's unfortunate condition. At least she would be able to go to her concert tonight.

After she was done listening to the radio, she finished up the usual Hunter preparations and made her way to the Buffer Zone. Amani was sitting on the floor waiting for her. Amber waved hello.

Official Name: Amber Carnelian

Nickname: Amber

Sex: Female

Occupation: Hunter

Sexual Orientation and Availability: Heterosexual, available

Age (Mods are for 18+ only!): 21

Bio: Amber never really wanted a mod. She was fine with the way she was. Unfortunately, she didn’t have a choice when the Corpus Noir abducted her at age 19 and put threw her back into society with a brain mod.

Amber now works as a Hunter to get away from the craziness inside the dome. She uses a staff that has a retractable blade on each end as her weapon.

Mod Bonus: Amber received modifications to her brain significantly increasing her problem solving, comprehension, info gathering, and intuition.

Mod Drawback: While Amber can understand speech completely fine, she has a very difficult time formulating her own words to communicate with others. This limits her speech abilities to the point she almost can’t talk. Writing is easier but still difficult. She also has trouble paying attention to one thing at a time, and is prone to overthinking simple things. Headaches are somewhat frequent too.

Veran Izaph

Veran stood on the edge of the wall that surrounded Yezin, overlooking the city. Much to her disappointment, not much has changed. It's a shame the terrorists didn't end up causing any real damage. Whatever disturbance they did cause was starting to fade away.

Well, she did find out something interesting at least. That night, she sensed something. A powerful, otherworldly being. Similar to the beast trapped within her. One day that beast will escape its vessel. Veran felt that day would come sooner than later.

Hahahaha...

The thought was truly terrifying.

Soooooo I just spent the last at least 15 minutes doing a bunch of these.

Basically, you draw something random (scribbles, letters, words, whatever the heck you want it will look good in the end), then you select it and copy it, then you flip the copy horizontally, then you merge the two, then you select the thing and copy it again this time flipping the copy vertically, merge, select, copy and rotate 90 degrees, merge, copy, rotate diagonally, merge, and there you go you have a fancy design thing.

It's like magic.

Marcell Krauss

Marcell stood in the center of the room. He pulled out a vial of arsenic from his coat pocket. Along with it he got out the piece of the Sanctum Key he had won from the war. It was dull, rusty, and pathetic looking now. He used up all of its power creating this wretched labyrinth. And it was all for nothing too.

Ha. How wrong he was to think that this cycle would end. He should’ve known better. He should’ve known his failure was inevitable.

He should’ve known that Ruler was always watching.

Masters and Servants, they were all merely pawns of Ruler’s game. They would never become a king. Yet he tried… and ended descending into a pit of madness. The maze walls reflected his deteriorating state of mind. The constant shifting, winding paths that led to nowhere; it was insanity. It would the future Masters’ problem to deal with.

Marcell knew that the future Masters would end up getting the catalyst eventually. It was bound to happen. Even with Saber’s immense strength and the command he issued him, he was going to be defeated at one point. The war would continue on.

In the end Marcell barely made a scratch on this world. He probably would’ve been happier if he had abandoned his ambitions sooner. Left the mage world. He could’ve done more with his life. Instead here he was. It just wasn't meant to be.

But, despite everything, he held onto a small bit of hope. Perhaps the future Masters would have similar ideals to his; perhaps they would wish to end this pointless war. Maybe they would succeed too. After all, everything has its end.

Marcell opened the vial. After this, the cycle would start again and, well, who knows what would happen.

-

Just before the Servants delivered their final blow to the Saber of Diamonds, a foggy, faded out silhouette appeared in the center of the room. It was just barely visible enough for those present to take notice of it. The silhouette showed a figure of a man raising a vial to the air. A voice could be heard, although it was muffled to a whisper.

”To my servant, Hang Tuah, I once again thank you for your services even if things ended the way they did. And, to the future Masters that may take the path I took...”

"I wish you the best of luck."

The figure drank the liquid in the vial, and the last memory faded away leaving an eerie silence.
