A saber ran at him. His mind blanked, his movements began to just slur together for him. A step here, and twist there. He pulled out his sleeping bomb he never got to use against that boy Henri and pressed it up to the makeshift servant's face. It fell in front of his feet and he removed his pistol.

He pulled the trigger 2 left. The bullet entered the servant's skull as it began to quickly light up. Jack stepped back as the violent explosion shook his body. The burns on his face healing over into normal skin.

There wasn't much thinking left to do. Kirin's classmate was right, and all Jack could do was watch. He did what he could, but it wasn't enough. He knew that. Everyone knew that. Two bullets left, two more actions, two more servants, or whatever was being hurled at him...

The air left his stomach as a girl tumbled into him.

"Hey! Are you alright?" He recognized a teammate, or at least he thought.
