Maria ((Testing out a new style.))

That should be an armor derived from Hinduism, in which case it should be from the Mahabharata. She didn't conjure up defensive armaments earlier as she didn't need them so i had assumed it was weaponry. This'll be hard to deal with. Let's see.... Mahabharata, the two artifacts that I can remember are the set of sun armor granted to Karna at birth and the spear of Indra. Actually, I seem to remember some claim on the internet about the Mahabharata being a nuclear war that was waged. It was quite amusing. I wonder if someone used the false quoting as a form of magical conduit, would they be able to unleash a nuke level spell? Probably not, none of the modern spells based on the deep integration of science of magecraft has formulate any results after all, well still and amusing concept. If I remember correctly, Karna was derived from the sun and had the power to battle divinity. Coincidentally, the Sword of Catherine happens to have the similar properties. Let's test my conjecture.

The lance and trident clashed.
Sparks scattered with each connecting blow.
Lancer accelerated backwards, twisting his body to dash away.
Avenger pressed on, shifting her grip on the lance for more reach, thrusting with each leaping stride.
The lance twirled into the air and then fell upon the prongs of the trident.
Avenger retreated.
A bead of sweat fell to the ground with an audible plop.
Another dash, another stroke. Sparks flying once more.
Lancer jabbed and the prongs of the trident wedged the weapon, locking it in place.
Pushing down on the polearm, Avenger propelled herself forwards and bashed lancer into the face.
Staggering, he yanked his lancer, turning it with all his might. Avenger spun in the air and a kick smashed into her shield, sending her flying.
Lancer bridged the gap, splitting the lance in half. Prying away her weapon, he smashed into her shield. once, twice, thrice.
Avenger backpedaled, rotating and knocked Masamune backwards.
Avenger grasped the trident near the tips and drew up the shield.
The two spear points battered the vice defense.
The grounded eroded away, inch by inch.
Avenger’s lips parted, and a curt breath spat out.
A flame descended down upon her from the sky, glancing off her face and sliding all the way down.
Her silken face remained unscathed.
The six-winged figure flung the weapon into the air, switching over to a dull blade,
A wide stroke clattered against Avenger, unflinchingly reciprocating the attacks.
Lancer charged, only to be smacked aside by teh butt of the trident.
The trident sunk into the left flank of the winged girl and tore a shallow hole into the abdomen.
The wound sealed itself promptly and the attack pressed on.
Avenger took into the air, only to be slapped in the face by a glancing wing.
The trident skewered them and the mass of pink was sent tumbling through the air,
Lancer ran through the air, butterfly wings and mana thrusters at his back.
A dance, an aria, a duet of whirring weapons.
Portals spewed out projectiles, obstructing the path of the flight.
A prong thrust into Lancer, a twirl parried the blow and her returned fire.
Another salvo of exchanges passed.
Maria sunk her flaming blade into the wax wings.
Eve descended back down to the ground.

“I’m done indulging you two.”

Eve

“I’m done indulging you two.”

Yatagarasu. Seeking Sun Birds. A massive golden bow appeared in her hands. She aimed it at the beating sun and fired a blast of condensed light like a projectile. In the air the shot fractured into ten pieces, nine revolving in the sky at a blinding speed and the final taking the form of a massive phoenix. The sky turned a menacing red as fire danced through the sky. Thousands of portals from Sanctum Sanctorum materialized among the flames, aiming straight down.

Eve, eyes now a glowing crimson, gave a single command, and an onslaught straight from hell descended from the sky.
In that moment, there was only silence.

Anne

Some form of flames coming down really fast. I have an idea, but it may not work.

"If anyone has a problem with getting a little wet... TOO BAD!" She shouted the last part as what appeared to be a layer of water formed about five feet below the falling phoenixes. By the time it had completed, they were about to crash into it.

Hera

Hera dodged out of the way of the deadly downpour of noble phantasms raining from the sky. Shit, shit, shit, shit. A glimpse at the sky told her of a phoenix raining fire upon those below as a lance nearly hit her already injured leg. Shit, shit, shit. She hurriedly limped away from the battle, praying that the slaughter wouldn't follow. Her prays weren't answered. A dagger flew from the sky and hit her right shoulder. FUCK.

((Ran out of time to format))

Maria

The rain of flames and steel cascaded down upon them.
[Dual Skill EX: Flame Resistance EX. Guardian Knight EX]
Lancer rocketed forth into the air, catching a thermal formed by the swarming streaks. At his underside was a girl, similarly in the thermal as well as using the golden figure’s tailwind to not be buffeted by the air pressure of the swarming blades. Lacer smashes aside any and all weapons coming their way and they made a beeline for Avenger. A few flaming birds assailed them to no avail, smashing into Lancer’s body and tumbling off.

Flying out of the tailwind, Maria soared into Avenger, blazing a halo and creating a shroud of fire. The trident sunk into the wall of fire and tore clashed again the Shroud of Turin. The protective layering collapsed and her wings were clipped once more, crashing to the ground.
[Dual Skill EX: Herculean Strength EX. Battering Blows EX.]
With the two spear points, Lancer continuously smashed into the shield, concentrating each blow onto a single point. The polearm flimsily warded off blows as the shield was bashed into the ground.

A continuous flurry of attacks failed to dent the Kavacha but soon she was grounded once more. The cascade of blades whirred onwards, placing glancing hits on the duo.
Six wings flapped furiously and circled around Avenger, slowly hacking away with an array of blades.
The trident flew out in a routine fashion, this time going straight through the pink haired girl’s chest. She slumped over, sinking deeper into the shaft of the trident. The glowing lights faded and the wings on her back crumpled and faded away. A brief impulse of energy rippled through the weapon and burned away at the torso of the human figure.

Three, two, one.

The figure reignited and grasped onto Avenger’s right arm. A volley of weapons tore the head, pink hair and all off of the shell. A voice creaked out of the disembodied head.
“I’ve always wanted to do this. Holding onto someone’s arm and then imploding? It’s an exhilarating thought, don’t you think?”
The left hand crumbled away, revealing an ornate blade, giving off the familiar glow of glory and sinister intent. It was indeed a blade fit for a king.
Avenger furrowed her brow but her right arm had been encased by the now amorphous lump of crystal.
“EXC-”, the ground trembled and the air quivered, “ALIBUR!” A torrent of light burst into existence and slammed into the armored girl. Tumbling some distance, Avenger picked herself up with a grimace and Lancer’s assault continued.
“Even a fake holds this much power, I wouldn’t want to be on the receiving end of one of those,” mused the head.

As Lancer swung at Eve, she slacked her stance and allowed herself to be blown back by the attack, turning to minimize the damage and using the force to propel herself away to switch armaments. She landed near the Saber of Clubs once more.

In her fight with Lancer, Eve had knocked Saber onto the ground, but he had managed to get back up in a few seconds (after being stepped on by one of the creatures in her army, but that's irrelevant as he wasn't injured). Masamune would have attacked Avenger earlier, but Muramasa attacking him had delayed him. The Lancer of Clubs seemed to have weakened Avenger enough, so Saber decided that now was a good time. The white aura around him expanded a little bit and his nine (for one had been slaughtered by Muramasa because he was in the way) disciples arranged themselves around Eve in a wide circle. A small burst of white light was  visible from where he was. When it disappeared, he held a longer blade that was stronger than the previous.

"Now."

Quickly sidestepping Muramasa as she ran at him again, he charged at Eve and time seemed to slow down. She turned some of the portals at him, some of them slid right by him, merely centimeters away, but he continued. More weapons came. Each fell to the side as it bounced off his new blade that was glowing a vivid blue. It continued to get brighter as Anne made the deflective covering stronger. Finally as he neared her, his nine disciples who had followed him, shrinking the circle prevented all routes in and out. In the circle that was about five feet wide, there were no armored humanoid creatures anymore, just fallen pieces of metal.

I'm going to weaken her before you deal the killing blow.

Below the layer of water which Anne continued to hold up, a large flame burned a path towards Avenger leaving only dripping 'metal' behind. It seemed to leap right over  the circle's edge, but in the center, Eve was burnt decently. She was still pretty strong and still would barely have the upper hand against a master. A third of the portals turned to the attacker, Anne, and fired. Most of the rest aimed at Saber, but he deflected them quickly.

"Cody, help me keep the shield up!" She shouted at him over the noise of weapons crashing into various things. Even before he could respond, she continued forcing the shield to stay up by pushing against each incoming blade. He joined in as well, but didn't use as much mana.

Shit, that was probably my last attack.

While they worked at keeping the shield up, Saber and his students closed in on Avenger.

"It's over for you."

He lifted his blade up and sliced down, through her skull and face and everything. Blood splattered on the ground and started to pool up. Just in case she was alive, each disciple impaled her with their blades till Avenger looked like an apple with a ton of toothpicks stabbed through it. She collapsed on the ground and began to crumble into ashes that drifted away.

Cracks spread through the portals of Sanctum Sanctorum and they fell to pieces before dissolving in a similar manner as their creator had. The armored creatures also seemed to be going through the same process. Above, the phoenixes split into what seemed to be millions of shards of glass and penetrated the layer of water which came tumbling down, soaking everyone below. No one was hurt by the pieces of glass that fell harmlessly like glitter from the sky.

The only colors in the room were red and white. Muramasa glared at Saber...

Eve

So you yourself posses a library of your own, your very own collection of weapons.

You must think of yourself as my antithesis, Masamune. You always did. You must also realize that every blade has killed its target, though. Every one of your 'pure' and 'honorable' blades has been tainted by sin. MY sin. Your blades were mine to command along with all the others.

Someday, Saber... Someday, I will paint you black like all the others.

As blood poured from several angles, Eve menacingly glared at Masamune as her body faded away in a cloud of ash and embers.

You now face a trial, a battle as old as the blade itself. A fight against your own shadow.

Soon enough...

Another will face the same fate.

He will fall...

Event

In the air above Saber and Berserker, a gleaming white light appeared in the sky. One could make out its shape upon close inspection. One could easily identify it as the Sanctum Key itself. After appearing, it ****, then dispersed into seven pieces which seemed to vanish into the wind, reappearing for the victors.

The first appeared before Robin Sacton. It was a small, decorated mechanism composed of pure steel. Its power was seductive beyond description.

Before Hendrick Mahagany materialized a key of polished gold. Its gleam promised revenge.

In front of Anne Kenrin lay a stone key wrapped in chains. It unlocked the treasures and ambitions of the earth itself.

For Hera Gregg an article of blazing fire appeared before her. Its power yielded only to her, allowing her alone to touch its raging flames.

A black key, surging with sinister power, found itself chained to Nicole's neck. It was engraved with a threatening heart-shaped insignia.

For Cody, a polished white key of simple design appeared in his hand. He could feel the world screaming inside.

The last key had disappeared.
In that moment, there was only silence.

Maria

The sky split open under the looming lights of the key of the world. The splintered shards floated down to their rightful owners.

That was more anticlimactic than I thought. No final song, no requiem, no real sense of fulfillment, only the open palms, clutching onto another burden.

To truly end everything, all the servants would have to disappear. Every last one of them. Lancer, Caster, Saber, and Berserker. Yes, this would be the end, the coda of the story, the final cadence. Lest we return, a la coda.

Sitting peacefully in her chair, she stroked her left glove. Gone will be one shackle, and then evermore. She sank into her chair, returning to her slumber in the world of the living.

A second shell strolled out of a bush. It was no matter that the circuitry of the first one was completely and utterly smashed to bits. ALl she needed to do was reset, reroll, and try again.

It was a perpetual cycle. Waking up, satisfying her urge for sugar, doing whatever she pleased.

Gun in hand, she strolled through the ravaged grounds of the forest and hill. It was a colorful event and one to remember. She mused that Lancer would be ahead of her, walking forwards burning out the last of his youth. She would go collect the in person using this second body. Yes, everything is progressing normally.

Nicole

Nicole backed away from the Clubs she stood by, moving closer to the site of Maria's fallen head. Then, she noticed the robot, seemingly glaring at her--

Almost subconsciously, she remembered the feeling of cold metal hands around her throat.

Calm down, Nicole. They don't know what you are. Besides, you have THIS (her thoughts wandered to the key, which she couldn't help but feel was strangling her around the throat) and she doesn't.

Fully aware of the others eyes on her, Nicole reached down to Maria's head and lifted it up to chest height. It faded away with a small, unbelievably satisfying pop. The atmosphere on the hill seemed to grow even colder, and this cold cut through warm clothing and camaraderie in a way the snow never had.

The color white seemed to pervade everything around. Not the tone white, but the actual color White. White was a strange color. It simplified things. It made recognition harder, but it made acknowledgement easier. Or something. Nicole couldn't really explain it. The hillside looked bleached, and homogeneous. And cold. It looked cold.

Was it any coincidence than snow was White?

Wasn't White the color of death, in certain myths.

Hadn't there been a girl wearing white, who was throwing swords at some people? She'd been scary.

Their eyes continued to stare. So many eyes, of mages and of masters and of servants, that they all simply seemed to blend into a single crowd. Staring, penetrating, reading her. Did she once know some of them? Did it matter anymore? She couldn't help but thinking that they knew.

She had no idea what they knew, but she knew that they knew.  As she continued to turn, without registering what was in front of her, the key around her neck seemed to loosen; seemed to invite. Use it, Nicole. It seemed to whisper. Use me. Nicole shivered at the voice. It didn't sound like, Nick as she'd expected (indeed, if it had, she'd have probably shattered it then and there). It sounded like him. Heidrek.

It sounded like Berserker. Contrary to popular belief, Berserkers are best exemplified by the color White. They were the simplest of servants, and the easiest to understand. They liked the cold. They always seemed to speak in red, though, I wonder why--

Again, their eyes continued to stare. So many eyes, of enemies and of rivals and of ordinary people, that they all simply seemed to blend into a single being, with no head or tail or hand. But it had a heart, she thought. Wasn't she supposed to be a heart? She was fairly sure she distinctly remembered being a heart.

What is a heart? Where could I get one? They sound nice.

Why, you already have 7. The key replied softly.

Really? Can I use them?

No. But I can.

Show me--

Once more, their eyes continued to stare. So many eyes, of people she knew nothing about. But did they know? Did they know what she was? Well, if they didn't know, she would tell them.

"I'm not him!" Nicole tried to scream at the crowd. She wasn't sure if they heard. "I'm Nicole! It's good to meet you, whoever you are!"

Then the key took over, her eyes turned red, and the ground around her exploded.

Cody. That woman is berserker's master and a spade. She holds a piece of the Sanctum Key.

I can tell. Everyone, listen! We have to defeat her to win this for good, but we HAVE to destroy her key first, or else all of this will have been for nothing. Stay on your guard!

In a flash of wind, Madeline bolted into the cloud of dust surrounding Nicole.
In that moment, there was only silence.

The flames caressed Hera’s hand as she held her piece of the key. She paid little mind to the agonizing pain in her shoulder and leg as she watched the fire dance with the chilling winter breeze. It’s so…beautiful. The sheer unrestrained power of it held her gaze as it continued it’s performance. It’s so…deadly.

Robin

Robin turned towards Nicole, his piece of the key trying to seduce him, take him in. He looked at Nicole, hearing Cody's message through a little part of his head as he looked at the key, completely enhanced by it. Somehow, maybe by Cody's message, his father's memory or sheer willpower, or maybe all three, Robin broke his gaze. He pocketed the key, placing in in his most secure pocktet.

Time will claim you soon, key, but there is something for me to do first. Don't worry, I'll complete my fathers wish soon enough.

Robin, angered by his father's memory, drew his sword. It gleamed, now, as the metal suddenly shown a blinding light, lighting up on a powerful white fire. Robin felt this sudden enchantment fill him, power rushing into his body as the fire continued to build up. Robin created a ice shield, now many times more powerful then it ever was. He held the sword, pointed at Nicole. Robin only felt pity now, looking at her. Sad that the key had taken her, and that she had to die. He stood there, many times more powerful then he had been before.

"Let's finish this."

Anne

A solid rock key hovered in the air right in front of her. A metal chain went around it a few times, giving some contrast to the dull stone.

It looks powerless, this is what we've fought to destroy? What can it do? One more question lingered in her mind, one she didn't dare to ask... not because of the question, but because of what the answer could be.

She reached out and grabbed it. As she touched the surprisingly smooth surface, small sparks of red, orange, yellow, and white bounced off the surface. Once holding it, she realized that this simple object had power. Without power, that small of an item would have little mass, but this... it felt heavy somehow.

Everyone, listen! We have to defeat her to win this for good, but we HAVE to destroy her key first, or else all of this will have been for nothing. Stay on your guard

Well I just have defense right now, no chance of attacking for at least half an hour because of low mana but I have a dog... Saber's got to deal with Muramasa now, but if he wins than we have that.
