Archer

"It's on the side wall to your right, but it's almost in the corner of that wall and the back wall.  You'll need to move a little bit sideways."

Something muffled up the resonation, if it was possible to muffle up something that was already near-undetectable.  The next events weren't something that anyone should see in advance.  The resonation gained clarity, and the scene had shifted.

Saber of Ages Past

Avenger had been defeated, its corpse lying on the ground.  The Sanctum Key had split into seven pieces, one for each of the remaining victors.  The others would go to those who had supported the winning contestants the most.  The Sanctum War was over.

Saber stared at the Sanctum Key for a couple seconds.  As an active Servant, he had the power to claim a portion of the power of the Key for himself.  But he had no interest in doing so.  His wish had always been to serve, loyally and eternally.  He turned to Marcell.  "What now?" he asked.  Most Masters dismissed their Servants after the end of the Sanctum War, for fears of betrayal and the constant mana drain, but Marcell hadn't given Saber the impression that he intended to do so.

Will

"Right." Will nodded slowly, and stepped forward.

"By my command seal, Caster, subdue this Club."
Hypatia immediately appeared by his side, spellbook already opened. Will immediately stepped back, allowing his servant to take charge.

"Asinidus Bavare.." She spoke in a level voice. A purple-and-gold glow seemed to seep out of the pages of her tome, before collecting into a tight ball.

"Tassinus."

The lustrous sphere dove into the ground, burrowing through unhampered, leaving behind a circular hole.

"I have spells at my disposal that you could not even imagine, girl." A hint of menace had entered Hypatia's tone. "Besides this, you are outnumbered four to one. Why persist in your futile resistance?"

Anne ((Really sorry this took forever because I wasn't in CA and then I went to Tahoe and then I needed details on that spell. The 'earlier' thing is because I thought I had included this in some post a while back, but apparenly I had never made that post because the page closed or something like that.))

---Earlier (before she ran into Jack)---

"How hard would you say is it to get this stupid bullet out of here?" She asked Saber.
"With a small blade like that dagger, it wouldn't be hard, but it would hurt a lot."
"Can you dig it out?"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, just do it."

Saber took the blade and pried the bullet out. Blood started to flow out of the wound, but Anne muttered a quick healing spell that sealed the skin and reduced the pain, but there was still a twinge with every step she took.

---Now---

With a giant hole next to her and a bunch of fear waves directed at her, Anne was not exactly feeling comfortable with the situation. The servant who she assumed was a caster seemed too powerful for them to take on, mainly because she was surrounded by other Spades.

There's nothing we can do now. We're outnumbered.
Escape.
We are SURROUNDED.
There are gaps between the four. Create a diversion. You can do a simple spell even when scared. Or are you just going to give up?

Those words angered Anne which was exactly what Saber wanted. The fear was still there, but her desire to prove that she wasn't going to give up reduced it enough for one fairly simple spell. She took a deep breath and said "Fumi."

Black smoke filled the area, preventing everyone from seeing each other. It entered the surprised Spades' lungs. The sound of coughing echoed through the maze. In the meantime, the two Clubs held their breath and ran through a gap in the circle around them that they had decided to exit through before the spell.

They reached clear air and continued down the passage, taking a turn to the right after looking back to make sure that the group they had left could not see them. After a while, they slowed down to a walk because the running had caused Anne's leg to hurt more

Avery ((yes, ik this sucks))

He turned right a few more times before deciding he was lost. When he was about to give up and sit down, Avery saw smoke ahead. Assuming that there was a fight going on, he ran into the smoke and bumped into Nicole (but he didn't realize it).

Cody Lazarus

He hugged the wall for dear life as he made his descent to the targeted area. H-heights... neat... He didn't stop sweating until he'd reached the bottom. A forcefield appeared behind him, upon which Caster swiftly jumped out and landed upon as a surface.

"...Why don't I get a safety net?!" He huffed.

Caster shrugged. "Without sufficient magic resistance, it'd fry your feet. You're better off landing on solid brick at that point."

He let out a heavy sigh and dusted off his coat. "Fine." By now the rest of the group was at the bottom. Cody brought out his map and examined it. "Now, the catalyst is..." His finger shivered. "...In a general sense of the word, right in front of us." At the end of the long hallway facing them, there was a steel door. The maze didn't seem like it would be shifting any further. "Well, guys..." He turned around to his teammates, as well as Kirin and Riza, then finally to Henri. "It's do or die."

At the end of the hallway they opened the door. Inside the room was vast, but dimly lit. There was nothing except a shroud of mist and a lone figure at its center.

Kirin Oshiro

"Should we..." He whispered to Riza. "...Help?"

"Well, duh... Come out, Archer." Her servant materialized, musket at ready. He looked over and scowled at them both. Riza scratched her head. "...Whaaat?"

"Bloody traitors."

"Hey, fuzzball." Riza pointed an accusing finger. Kirin was preoccupied with her odd taste in nicknames. "If we're traitors, you're a traitor too. Now, Club or Spade, that servant's the enemy."

Archer exhaled a puff of black smoke. "...Fine." He took aim. To his right, Hera's Rider also materialized upon his horse and began a charge. As Ulysses began his assault, he gave covering fire and rolled to the left for a better angle. The battle had begun.

Jack Blair

Jack coughed a little as the smoke cleared he was used to a little smoke.

((Nitrox, now that avenger is free, is there a clear passage to him for the group and anne?))
