That's my father with those command seals, and he'll be ready for a contract in an instant." Kirin was reminded that his mental communication with Archer was still active.

He yelled, "Everyone, take cover!" As soon as most of them were on the ground a blindingly fast bullet flew out of the barrel of Archer's gun, ricocheting against the surrounding treetops. It bounced off of Hera's shield, cracking it, then finally colliding with Madeline's metallic body. The force of the strike tore her chest open, but she still appeared to be operational.

Kirin got back up, wand in hand. They began to fight back.
