Saber of Diamonds

Saber held his sword upright, and air slowly began to swirl around it, blowing away the dust that had gathered on its surface.  Despite Archer's excellent aim and the homing capabilities of his bullets, they were redirected besides him, harmlessly striking the wall at the back.

Rider finally reached his quarry, Cincinnati braving the wind that emanated from Saber's sword.  The swords of Ulysses and Saber clashed, but Rider's momentum didn't make Saber step back an inch.  Saber parried the sword strike, and the deities depicted on Saber's sword began to glow blue.  As Saber swung at Rider, the blast of cold air the weapon was emitting was almost enough to unseat Rider from his mount, but Cincinnati pulled back.

Am I commanded to serve my original Master, or the person he became?

Saber shook the thought from his head and began to speak.  "This is my Noble Phantasm, the sword of Taming Sari.  The spirits that possess this blade grant me invulnerability from harm.  Or that's what the legends say, anyway."

((Just a note that that's not 100% the truth.  Skill-wise, all he has is A+ Endurance and Battle Continuation B, which is enough to allow him to stand his ground and continue fighting against all but decisive blows.))

Archer of Spades

He took deadly aim at the heart, eyes glowing a sinister violet.

I don't believe in your bloody fairy tales.

REHE DURCHBOHREN.

The third cursed bullet burst out of the barrel with a ruinous blast, launching straight for the heart.

Spoiler: 3rd magic bullet (hover to show)

Robin

Robin turned to face the Saber of Diamonds, looking for a way to help out.

Looks like a Saber, he's standing pretty good ground, deflected an Archer's bullets, and is probably the strongest servant I've ever seen.

With that obvious analysis, Robin drew his throwing daggers and Archer of Spades shot dead at Saber of Diamonds. At the same time, Robin threw one of his daggers at Saber of Diamonds, putting and air shield infront of it to smash into Saber's sword arm then let the dagger tipped with ice pierce it.

((The bullet will hit first, obviously))

Saber of Diamonds & Arash

Saber's sword started moving to deflect the bullet before Archer had even fired the gun, but the high speed of the bullet in combination with Archer's homing skills meant that the bullet skimmed off the sword rather than bouncing off of it.  Nevertheless, it was enough to redirect the bullet into Saber's side rather than his heart.  It drove through the armor, and blood started to leak out, but it was an injury that his Battle Continuation skill would allow him to ignore for the time being.

However, Saber's armor and blade were enough to deal with the dagger, which was twisted out of orientation by a sudden gust of wind, clattering harmlessly against Saber's armor.

Saber smiled and leaped into the air, swinging his blade toward the Archer that had shot the bullet.  As he did so, Henri's Archer fired two arrows at opposite sides of the room, claiming territory there.

Archer of Spades

The enemy saber plunged his crooked sword into Archer's left arm, leaving a deep wound. Between grunts he smiled, melting into a silhouette and vanishing into the ground, in which he distanced himself and re-emerged with the wound sealed. Once on solid ground again, he regained balance and drew the musket once more.

Katzensprung.

He aimed straight at the floor and fired. The bullet vanished. Feet away Ulysses was already charging again, this time equipped in his equestrian armor.
In that moment, there was only silence.

Saber of Diamonds

Saber watched the bullet go into the ground, and then leaped backwards onto a ledge on the wall that surrounded the arena, too thin for Rider's horse to reach, although his sword would still be a threat.  Saber held out Taming Sari, still glowing with blue light, and turned it around with midair.  Shadow consumed Saber, and when it receded, Saber was dressed in light, flowing clothing, with no sign of the wound that had been inflicted upon him earlier.  In his hands was a long, thin blade like a needle: a kris blade of an executioner.

As I was a brave warrior loyal to my king, I was a merciful executioner loyal to my hero.  But this is no time for mercy.

Saber's eyes flashed with red light.  Clairvoyance.  His eyes tracked the minute changes in the ground that indicated the path of Archer's bullet, waiting until it would approach him.  Several tense seconds passed in silence, Rider pausing to see what Saber would do, until there was a brief rumbling sound.  Saber immediately stepped to the side.  Someone looking at his body would not have noticed a large step, hardly enough to dodge a bullet, but somehow he had appeared a quarter of the way around the circular arena.  Reduced Earth.  The bullet shot out of the ground where Saber had just been standing and collided with a stone tablet on the wall.

Saber's sword seemed to vibrate with energy, as if it was trying to escape his hands.  It glowed with malevolent red light and heat, and he pointed it directly at Rider.  Rider turned his body so that his shield was facing Saber, but Saber's inhumanly long steps let him reach the other side.  A straight bolt of flame fired out of the sword and hit the side of Rider's horse, leaving a burn mark.

((The damage Saber sustained in his warrior form is still there, but it doesn't translate over to his executioner form.  If either form is killed, he dies.))

Rider

Power... nngh... He backed away. Cincinnati squealed in pain. Ulysses felt his body shiver. There's no way that Archer and I could defeat him alone, and I doubt Caster will be of any help either. I just need power... enough mana to numb the pain and land a critical strike. Just... He clenched his teeth until they rattled under the pressure, pacing his steed from side to side, waiting for an opening. Left, right... left... right. He charged diagonally at top speed, circling around in an attempt to strike from an unprotected angle.

His heart dropped when he heard the rustling of chains around him. You can't trap me that easily! Ulysses briskly leaped from his steed and landed next to Saber, swinging his sword and creating two superficial cuts before backing away to avoid his counterattack. It was only now that he realized his mistake. The steel chains fastened around Cincinnati's legs, forcing the horse to the ground and binding it firmly in place. Saber vanished, reappearing above it with his blade held backhanded. In one fell swoop he tore through Cincinnati's heart, killing him instantly.

Ulysses stared aghast as his steed fell into shining pieces and returned to Sanctum.

Archer

As Saber was executing the horse Archer was preparing a concentrated shot to his skull. Let's make it a magic bullet for good measure. See you in Sanctum, you bloody creep. His eyes flared violet in preparation, but the instant before pulling the trigger his mana rebounded, causing a large shock. Archer dropped the gun and clenched his heart in pain. "Gah... W-what the hell?!" M-mana deficiency!? What's going on? Riza's got plenty of- His thoughts ceased for the moment when he looked up. Riza was on her knees, shivering as a deep blue flame hovered over her heart. Kirin was shouting something at the Clubs- Archer himself couldn't hear clearly. His vision darkened, and his body became numb. He heard something, a mutter in the Rider's voice. He didn't know at the time, but the voice could be heard by anyone in the immediate area.

TOTAL WAR.

He looked back up to the Rider. In his stern eyes there was a furious blue flame. He let out a blood-curdling scream, one matched only by a berserker, and ran straight at the saber like a suicidal madman.
In that moment, there was only silence.

Henri and Saber

Archer looked on aghast as Rider's ultimate Noble Phantasm activated.  Henri stepped over to Riza and put his hand on her shoulder to check her magical energy, but quickly withdrew it when he felt a sympathetic reaction consuming his own mana.  As if Riza was just a vaccuum of mana for Rider to drain away...  Does he even know any spells to use that mana with?

The mana drain seemed to be heavy on Saber, who failed to activate his Reduced Earth skill, taking a direct blow from Rider that knocked him back several feet.  However, when he looked up, he was smiling.  Henri took a closer look.  It seemed as if the red energy that surrounded Saber's sword was being dragged into Rider's body.

Saber began to speak.  "As often as they are blessed, kris blades are cursed with evil spirits that possess them.  Try to drain mana from it, and you will receive heavy penalties to your Luck and Endurance as the spirits hamper your movements and direct you into dangerous territory."

Rider charged forward again, but his foot was caught on a well-timed chain that shot from the ground.  As he fell face-down, chains encircled his limbs and neck, and despite his struggles, he could not free himself.  Saber appeared above Rider, almost floating in midair, his sword pointed straight down.  "Ritual Execution," he whispered, and the sword pierced Rider's heart.

Cody Lazarus

He watched carefully as Rider looked back in fear right as his heart was pierced through. He did not scream; at this point one would doubt of Ulysses' ability to speak at all. All he could do was slowly rest his eyes as the rest of his body began to fade away into a black cloud of ashes. A quiet current of air carried them off.

Archer was on the floor, clutching his heart. Knowing this Caster alone started to calmly walk forward, charging a spell. Saber readied an attack. The entire room, for a single moment, surged with a field of static electricity. Cody felt as the hairs on the back of his neck stood on end.

Caster stated his spell firmly. "MJÖLNIR." He pointed his finger. The entire room was flooded in a piercing light as Saber was struck with a massive bolt of lightning.

Dust cleared. The servant was still standing.

"MJÖLNIR." Another strike of equal power. Caster's expression was fierce. Without waiting for a reaction, he stepped forward. "MJÖLNIR! MJÖLNIR! MJÖLNIR!"

The mana cost was high, but at this point nobody took note of it. Over and over, Caster let loose his most powerful lightning spell, each casting more furious and chaotic than the last.

But the servant was still standing.
In that moment, there was only silence.

Saber of Diamonds

Saber shifted form again, gaining his sword of wind and magical armor.  He held up his sword in an effort to block the lightning strikes, but Henri gestured to Caster at one of Archer's portals on the ground, then nudged Archer, who was still looking with disgust at the spot where Rider had died, to have him pay attention.  Caster began directing his lightning into Archer's portal, and it flew into Saber from various angles.  Archer began adding his own arrows into the mix, from too many directions for Saber to dodge.

Saber, breathing hard, raised his sword into the sky.  It glowed blindingly blue, and a tornado began to form around Saber that eventually encompassed the entire arena.  Henri, Cody, and their Servants were thrown into the air and cast around the arena.  However, Archer's superior vision was enough to allow him to see through the dust to where Saber was at the center of the arena.  He caught onto one of his portals, went through, and fired a fatal arrow directly at Saber's heart.

The wind immediately died down, and when the Clubs regained their footing, Saber had shifted into his executioner form at the center of the arena.  He no longer had a heart wound, but he was struggling from the amount of electricity he had taken and the amount of mana he had consumed.  He could barely keep his malevolent sword from flying out of his hand.  Archer had another arrow pointed directly at him, while Caster's hands were crackling with electricity.  "Go on, kill me," Saber muttered.

Marcell Krauss

Marcell stood in the center of the room. He pulled out a vial of arsenic from his coat pocket. Along with it he got out the piece of the Sanctum Key he had won from the war. It was dull, rusty, and pathetic looking now. He used up all of its power creating this wretched labyrinth. And it was all for nothing too.

Ha. How wrong he was to think that this cycle would end. He should’ve known better. He should’ve known his failure was inevitable.

He should’ve known that Ruler was always watching.

Masters and Servants, they were all merely pawns of Ruler’s game. They would never become a king. Yet he tried… and ended descending into a pit of madness. The maze walls reflected his deteriorating state of mind. The constant shifting, winding paths that led to nowhere; it was insanity. It would the future Masters’ problem to deal with.

Marcell knew that the future Masters would end up getting the catalyst eventually. It was bound to happen. Even with Saber’s immense strength and the command he issued him, he was going to be defeated at one point. The war would continue on.

In the end Marcell barely made a scratch on this world. He probably would’ve been happier if he had abandoned his ambitions sooner. Left the mage world. He could’ve done more with his life. Instead here he was. It just wasn't meant to be.

But, despite everything, he held onto a small bit of hope. Perhaps the future Masters would have similar ideals to his; perhaps they would wish to end this pointless war. Maybe they would succeed too. After all, everything has its end.

Marcell opened the vial. After this, the cycle would start again and, well, who knows what would happen.

-

Just before the Servants delivered their final blow to the Saber of Diamonds, a foggy, faded out silhouette appeared in the center of the room. It was just barely visible enough for those present to take notice of it. The silhouette showed a figure of a man raising a vial to the air. A voice could be heard, although it was muffled to a whisper.

”To my servant, Hang Tuah, I once again thank you for your services even if things ended the way they did. And, to the future Masters that may take the path I took...”

"I wish you the best of luck."

The figure drank the liquid in the vial, and the last memory faded away leaving an eerie silence.

Cody Lazarus

Archer and Caster took deadly aim, but Cody held out his hand and waved them off. He inhaled and slowly walked alone towards the servant. He stopped mere inches away.

"I get it now." The entire room was silent. "Your master built this entire maze in order to stop the war. So that the masters would never find the last catalyst... But I guess we did." Saber's wounds began to take their toll. Some parts of him were already beginning to fade. "Hey." He looked him in the eye and put his hand on his shoulder. "I don't know much about you, Saber, but... Rest easy. We're on your side. We're gonna assemble the Sanctum Key, and we're gonna destroy it. Okay?"
In that moment, there was only silence.

Saber

Saber was silent, his eyes closed.  It seemed to be hours before the fatal bolt of lightning struck.  The catalyst rose from the ground, a purple shard of energy.

His glasses reflected the shard's purple hue. He carefully reached out for it and gingerly held it in his hand. He turned to his teammates. "This is it. The spades still have one catalyst. The battle's not over yet, so rest up. We move out in five minutes."
In that moment, there was only silence.
